Part Nine
"Nick?" Tippy asked, waking up.
"Yeah?"
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing. Why?"
"Just wondering. You look like somethings bothering you."
"Yeah, sorta, but I dont want to talk about it right now."
"Ok" she said kissing him. Too her suprise he didnt kiss back.
She got up and took a shower then walked to Krystal's room.
"Hey Tippy, what's up?"
"I think Nicks mad at me or something."
"Why would he be mad?"
"I dont know. But when I woke up he was staring around like he was worried, and when I kissed him he didnt kiss me back."
"Whoa, he was serious." she said under her breath.
"Huh?"
"Um....well, just try to talk to him. I talked to him last night when he ran out of the club, he's got something on his mind, and its the last thing he wants."
"Ok??"
She walked back to her and Nicks room to find him sitting on the end of the bed with his head in his hands, crying.
"Baby, what's wrong?"
"I talked to Krystal last night, when I went outside at the club..."
"Yeah."
"And I told her....." he tried to pull himself together. "I think we should break up."
Tippy looked at the floor and the tears flowed from her eyes.
"Why?" she thought.
"I dont want you to feel like I used you, but I think this is best, and I hope you'll see that too."
She got up and ran to AJ's room.
"Whats wrong?" he asked, wiping the tears off of her cheeks.
"He dumped me, and I dont know why."
He hugged her and told her she could sleep in his room in the extra bed if she didnt want to stay in Nicks room.
"Ida know. I'll think about it. It depends on how the rest of my day goes."
"Ok."
She burst into tears again. He sat her on the bed and sang her to sleep. He covered her up and walked to Nick's room and knocked on the door.
"Go away!"
He walked in and closed the door behind him.
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Tippy ran down there crying, and I can tell you've been crying, dont lie."
"Yeah, cuz we broke up."
"She said you dumped her."
"I did."
"Why?"
"I don't know. I thought I loved her, but I couldn't stay with her, it just didn't feel right, and it wasn't fair to either of us."
"Maybe that means y'all werent meant to be. That doesnt mean you can't still be friends."
"I never said I didnt want to be friends, I just dont think we should go out anymore, as anything more than friends."
"Why are you so upset if you feel this is the right thing?"
"I don't know. I don't want it to be the right thing, but it probably is, I know the truth hurts, but I didn't know it could hurt this much."
"Take a shower and listen to some music and you'll feel a little bit better, and you'll be able to think straight."
He left and went back to his room to find Tippy laying on the bed crying.
"Shhhhhhh" he whispered.
"What did he say?"
"He's not mad at you, he just feels like this is what's supposed to happen, he's listening to his heart."
"Why can't he listen to his head?"
He laughed. "I wish I knew."
She stuck her face in the pillow and began to cry again.
